OUR WORK

We’ve mobilized DOJ alumni to protect the Department’s workforce and the rule of law

Justice Connection is a network of DOJ alumni who are standing up for the rule of law and protecting our former colleagues who’ve been targeted by this administration.

We’re providing current and recent DOJ employees with direct and free support, including:

Justice Connection has also become the leading voice delivering the message that the assault on DOJ makes Americans more vulnerable to violent crime, corruption, climate change, civil rights violations, and terrorism – while eroding the foundation of our democracy.

We’re raising public awareness through:

  • Press. We’re a go-to source for information and perspectives about what’s happening at the Department, appearing in over 130 national news stories – in print, on TV, and on podcasts and the radio.
  • Pressure on the Hill. We’ve testified at multiple congressional hearings and regularly work with members and senators on seeking oversight of DOJ leadership and accountability.
  • Advocacy. We’ve leveraged our alumni network in campaigns to rebuke the assault on the department and the rule of law; derail Emil Bove’s nomination to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals; publicize the wisdom and grave concerns of employees who were forced out; stop DOJ’s degradation of the Civil Rights Division; and pressure the Department to cease issuing unethical orders to career prosecutors. We even ran an ad on Fox News, calling on President Trump to stop firing our former colleagues.
  • DOJ Storytelling. We’re producing videos, social media content, and now  Substack posts featuring DOJ alumni speaking out about the assault on their former offices, and the American justice system.
  • Tracking the damage. We’re running the only public tracker focused on recording attacks on DOJ. By countering the flood-the-zone strategy with a tool ensuring that critical events are catalogued and easily searchable, it’s become an essential resource for reporters, Congress, and the public.
